About Convergency

I’ve been building websites and running digital marketing since 1996. That’s before Google existed, before WordPress was a thing, before “SEO” was something people hired agencies to do.

I started in agency web departments in the late 1990s, helped build and scale digital practices at multiple firms, and spent more than a decade leading digital teams and client portfolios at a mid-sized agency. For the last few years, I’ve been running my own operation, managing hosting and infrastructure for 60+ businesses across 140+ websites, most of it systematized enough that it doesn’t require constant hands-on attention.

I’m starting Convergency because I’d rather work with a team again than operate solo, and because I know how to build agencies that don’t waste time or money. I’ve hired teams, scaled operations, managed P&L, delivered for clients in healthcare, finance, B2B, and consumer markets. I’ve built five-nines hosting infrastructure, migrated 30+ sites at once, launched campaigns that generated millions in revenue, and designed systems that let one person manage what normally takes three.

Here’s how I work:

I don’t hoard information. If you want to know why we’re doing something or how it works, I’ll explain it. I’ve found that smart clients still hire us to do the work even when they understand it, because they don’t have the time or the team to execute consistently. Transparency builds trust, and I’d rather work with clients who understand what they’re paying for.

I care about outcomes, not billable hours. If something can be automated or systematized so it doesn’t need constant manual work, we do that. If a problem can be solved with a $50/month tool instead of a custom build, we recommend the tool. I’ve spent enough years managing budgets and P&L to know that efficiency matters more than looking busy.

I’m technical enough to build infrastructure and write code, but I’ve also spent two decades managing teams, presenting to executives, and advising clients on strategy. I can talk to developers and CFOs in the same meeting without needing a translator.
